Prius Crashes Through Fence Behind Japanese Ridgewood Restaurant

Firefighters were called to Ridgewood on Friday evening, Sept. 13 where a black Toyota Prius crashed through a chain link fence, over a retaining wall, and into the back of a restaurant, according to incident reporter Boyd A. Loving.

No injuries were reported in the incident, which left little to no damage to the building itself, Loving said. The crash happened around 9:15 p.m. behind Sakura Bana at 43 Franklin Ave., according to Loving.

A flatbed tow truck winched the Toyota from the scene and, following a safety inspection from police, the Prius owner was permitted to drive off.
